Age of Empires IV: Definitive Edition was unveiled on August 21, 2017, at Gamescom but that's not it, the latest iteration of the RTS (real-time strategy) game will come bundled with an updated version of Age of Empires: Rise of Rome which was first released in 1998.
The Age of Empires franchise is receiving an update 12 years after its last edition and two decades after the first Age of Empires game was released by Microsoft.
The Age of Empires IV will be released on October 19, 2017.

The Age of Empires IV: Definitive Edition comes with a number of updates including remastered visuals in 4k, increased population limit, enhanced pathfinding for units, better attack moves, vivid building destruction scene, new zoom levels, user interface, campaigns and soundtracks.
